Intro
We had to provide a glider design to meet criteria provided. All submissions should have the primary design goal to be optimized for long distance, straight-line flight through a contained medium e.g. indoor flight conditions.
In this project, we learnt about the process by which projects are proposed, authorized, and proceed. We were to design an original glider that sustains flight for the longest possible distance. This design challenge had requirements including time to complete an original design. Using the skills, knowledge, and understanding we have about how flight is possible. We had to make balsa gliders starting from any custom arey design that flew. Here are some designs

Inventor
We built the gliders in inventor to see what they would look like in real life.

Building & Testing
We built the gliders after assembling in inventor. We used Balsa wood to build them and Clay to balance/add mass to the glider.
Testing
Results after testing the glider: Note: the gliders wing broke after the 3rd flight and had to be re-attached
Conclusion/If we could do this differently
Next time we should have a tougher wood as the balsa can break very easily.
